Codex image generation, plus video and ads, from the terminal. Icarus uses your saved products and characters, so it looks like your brand.

To use Icarus in Codex, add it with an Icarus key from Settings. Then ask for photos, videos or ads in plain words. It's Codex image generation that uses your saved products and characters.

## How do I connect Icarus to Codex?

Add your key, run one command, and ask for photos and videos while you build.

1. Save your key, then add Icarus, in the same terminal.
2. Start Codex there and type /mcp to see Icarus.

### Where does my key go?

Save it as ICARUS_API_KEY in the terminal you start Codex from. Codex reads it from there.

### Do I need a key to use Icarus in Codex?

Yes. A workspace admin creates one in Settings. It's only shown once, so copy it straight away.

### Does using Icarus in Codex cost extra?

No. Connecting is free. You only spend credits when Icarus makes or edits something, and a shot that fails is refunded.

### Where does my work go?

Everything is saved in Generations in Icarus, and Codex gets a link to each result.

### Is my brand safe?

A key only works in one workspace. Delete it in Settings and it stops working straight away.

### How does Codex image generation work with Icarus?

You ask Codex in plain words. Icarus makes the photo, video or ad with your saved product and character, and you get a link back.
