Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: October 3, 2026
Icarus makes images and videos of real people and real products. These rules keep that safe for everyone. They are part of our Terms. They cover what you upload, what you make, and what you share to the Library.
Real people
- Only upload a photo of a real person if you have their consent to make new images of them.
- Do not make someone look like they said, did or wore something they did not, in a way that could fool people.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, or make content that copies a real person to deceive.
- Do not use a real person's name, face or voice to suggest they back you, your product or Icarus. This includes famous people and public figures.
- Do not use a famous person's likeness in an ad or on a product without their written permission.
Intimate and sexual content
- Never make nude, sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent.
- Never make any sexual content involving minors. We report it to the authorities as the law requires.
Other people's work and brands
- Only upload photos, videos, products, logos and designs you own or have permission to use.
- Do not make content that looks like a brand made it, sponsored it or approved it when it did not.
Harmful content
Do not make content that is illegal, harassing, hateful or defamatory, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
Saying it was made with AI
Everything Icarus makes is made with AI. If you publish an image or video that looks like a real person, place or event and could mislead people, say it was made with AI where the law asks you to.
Using the service
- Do not resell or give others access to Icarus without our written permission.
- Do not copy our code, scrape the service, or get around its limits.
If you break these rules
We can remove the content, stop a workspace from sharing to the Library, and suspend or close the account. We close the accounts of people who keep using other people's work, faces or brands without permission.
Report something
Seen something that breaks these rules, or that uses your face, your work or your brand? See Takedown requests or email [email protected].
