If something on Icarus uses your work, your face, your brand or an intimate image of you without permission, tell us and we will look at it. Icarus is run by Plaitr Technology LLC. Our rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Report it in the app

Every video and image in the Library has a Report button. Signed in, pick a reason and add a note:

• Uses something without permission
• Shows a person without their consent
• Inappropriate
• Something else

No account, or it is not in the Library? Email [email protected] with the link and what is wrong.

Your face, likeness or privacy

Email [email protected] with:

• The link to the image or video, or where you saw it.
• That it shows you, or that you act for the person it shows.
• What is wrong: no consent, an impersonation, or a fake endorsement.
• How we can reach you.

We remove content that breaks our rules and can stop the account behind it.

Intimate images

To have a nude, sexual or intimate image of you removed, email [email protected] with:

• Your signature: your full name typed is enough.
• The link to the image or video, or enough detail for us to find it.
• A short statement that you believe it was shared without your consent.
• How we can reach you.

We remove it within 48 hours of a valid request, and we remove the copies we know of.

Copyright notices

Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, send a notice to our copyright agent at [email protected] with:

• Your physical or electronic signature, or that of the person you act for.
• The work you say was copied.
• The link to the content on Icarus, so we can find it.
• Your address, phone number and email.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law.
• A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the work or may act for the owner.

If we removed your content by mistake

Send a counter-notice to [email protected] with:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• What was removed and where it was.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentified.
• Your name, address and phone number, and that you accept the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where we can be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We send your counter-notice to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court, we can put the content back 10 to 14 business days after your counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly use other people's work without permission.

Users in India

You can write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
